“Paint Stir Stick DIY”

This week’s DIY is FREE!!! Well, it is free if you already have paint and a glue gun. I’m seriously in love with how it turned out. I’ve missed you guys the last couple weeks and I’m sorry I skipped a DIY, but it’s been hectic. Things are getting better and these DIYs help 🙂

Let’s get started!

Supplies:

Stir sticks

paint and brushes

glue gun

Instructions:

Get your stuff together and decide on a design. I chose to do an American flag on one side and a simple sign on the other.

I started by painting both sides of all the sticks white.

On the side I did the flag, I figured out where I wanted to have the blue come out to and which sticks would be red or white. Paint those!

Once I got that side painted and it dried, I glued the sticks together.

I did notice, however, that the glue didn’t like to “stick” (haha) very well to the stir sticks. Let your new flag rest.

On the other side, if you choose to do something on it, paint it now. I chose to paint “Find joy in the journey”

Sand edges if you want a vintage/aged look.

You’re done!! Well, after the paint is dry. Hang or set on a shelf and enjoy!
