$40 Carrara Marble Herringbone Inspired Back splash

An inexpensive way to get the look of a Marble backsplash in a herringbone pattern!

~The Supplies~

Peel and Stick Vinyl Tiles (Home Depot in store and available online)
Vinyl Tile Cutter (Home Depot online)
Vinyl Tile Adhesive (Home Depot in store)
Vinyl Tile Grout (Lowes in store and available online)

~The Steps~

Step 1

-I cut the tiles in half and then 2 inch sections using a level. I made these marks on every.single.darn.tile. It was not a fun process but I got through it.
-I laid out my pattern on the counter at first just to make sure I was doing it right. When I had the pattern down I started to lay them.

Step 2

-I took some sheets of printer paper and held up to the area I wanted to fill in. I pressed firmly along the tiles already in place to make a crease (can you see the crease in the picture?) Then I laid all the pieces I would need and drew a pencil line where I would need to make my cuts.
-Then took the one that needed to be placed first, cut, held it up to make sure the cut was accurate, and if it was I used the adhesive and applied to the wall.
-I laid one by one until that section was filled in. I found it easier to lay the entire pattern using the full tiles and then go back in and fill in all of the areas needing cuts.
